Heheh, Bernard's aggitated about something. What a surprise! It's been a while since I drew him, but seeing as it's almost Christmas I'd give it shot. He's still so cute! I should watch that movie again, maybe it will take my mind off of GI for a while.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. He turned out perfect and it's so nice to see someone draw a character from a real movie in a cartoonish way. I don't see it often, but when I do, it makes me smile.
I think what I like the most here aside from the fact this looks just like Bernard would be the nonblack outlines (aside from the hair). I think it makes your work just jump off the page using darker colors of peach, green, etc. instead of the normal black outlines like I do.
And yes, the shading and highlights are perfect. They add fullness to his hair, skin, and hat, and just make me think a beautiful candle is lighting his way to some place.
You did an amazing job.

The colored lines take a little extra time, but it makes the piece look that much better. I got the idea from my friend ~saine; it's not like I came up with it on my own.
